I’m going to try my hand at daily blogging, since I have trouble sticking to a monthly schedule. But instead of writing longer form blog posts, I’m going to do quick write ups (Bif Notes) on different disability issues and other issues that I deal with and want to share with others.

Part of the reason I think shorter posts will be beneficial and easier to stick with is I have a lot of opinions on disability issues but I can’t always write a long post on them. With shorter posts I hope to be able to share my thoughts on more issues than I have in the past. I also hope to be able to schedule posts for things I want to talk about in advance so I can keep up with daily posts.

I’ve been having a lot of trouble finding the motivation to write on disability topics with so many other issues of import going on in the world. On top of that I’ve been feeling for a while now like my voice might not have a space in the conversation about disability rights. But I’ve realized recently, the fact that the world is in turmoil doesn’t not lessen the amount of work that needs to be done for disability inclusion and independence, and that all disabled voices are needed if we’re going to get to that goal of complete disabled integration and acceptance. I’m one of those voices and I want to be heard.
