Hello, Did You Miss Me?

*pokes my head out of my blanket nest*

Hello! Happy Fa- wait. It IS still October isn’t it? *checks calendar* December…it’s December. Christmas is next week! Ok, nobody panic. Somehow it’s winter already and Christmas is in 6 days.

But it’s ok! It’s fine. It was just my birthday 3 days ago and I totally forgot Thanksgiving even happened. But it’s fine. Just means I have to catch you up on a few things. And put out a LOT of content.

For starters, if you’ve visited the blog lately you’ll notice there are ads now. This is because I made the decision to start trying to gain some revenue through hosting ads on my posts. So far that’s not been terribly lucrative, but that has more to do with the lack of new content since the beginning of October.

That brings me to where I’ve been these past several weeks. I’d like to say I’ve been busy doing super exciting things, and that’s sort of true. I recently discovered the Canva app and have been creating a ton of neat stuff with that. I now have a new business card design and a logo for Bif In Medias Res.

Most of my time lately though has been focused on trying to make sure I’m doing what I need to do for me. Meeting basic needs, sleep, self care, hygiene, all that slightly complicated plant stuff. As much as I hate to admit it, despite the progress I’ve made with my mental health in recent months, these things are still a struggle for me as is my mental health in general. But I can tell I’m making improvements, small though they may be right now, and I’m not done by any means.

I have a lot of plans for this site and future projects, in this next year and beyond. I have a lot of personal goals I want to meet. And that content I talked about earlier? It’s coming. I’ve been stocking up on drafts these past few weeks so look for new content coming soon. Like really soon.

Thank you to everyone who’s stuck with me through inconsistent post scheduling and months without new content. I’m so grateful for your support and love. It keeps me going, truly.

With all that said, in the words of DJ McHale, Hobey ho, let’s go.
