I am always looking for new opportunities to be involved in and share my experience with disability related issues. My background includes a bachelor’s degree in communications with a minor in creative writing, experience leading my campus disability activism organization and six years of independent blogging. I have been published by several disability organizations including Rooted In Rights.

My past speaking engagements have been to student groups ranging from middle school to college age. I have spoken on topics ranging from disability in media and Ableism in society. But no matter the subject I find that even the most removed topics can become intimately personal.

Given the current era of social distancing, virtual arrangements for speaking engagements can be made either through Skype or Zoom.

As for consulting work, my thirty years lived experience as a disabled person and my knowledge of accessibility standards means I am uniquely qualified to help individuals and larger entities solve problems related to disability. It has always been my goal to use my knowledge and experience to help others and I see this as one way I can accomplish that. Through virtual meet ups and email I will work with you to find the best solutions to you problems and answers to your questions.

Payment is obviously preferred (sliding scale for individuals, otherwise industry standard rates), but voluntary services can be discussed. NOTICE: While I am open to discussing potential solutions to individuals’ personal problems, for legal reasons I must stress that I am not a mental health professional, nor am I a certified life coach of any kind. That being said, while I will of course practice discretion and my potential clients’ comfort will be paramount, HIPAA privacy laws are not applicable.
